About
Since February 2024, I have been working as a freelance electronics developer. What started as a part-time venture alongside my job has now grown into a full-time passion: designing smart, efficient, and robust custom electronics solutions.
My expertise lies in high-speed PCB design and microcontroller-based circuits. With a background as an embedded System Engineer, I have in-depth knowledge of both hardware and software, allowing me to fully optimize the capabilities of a microcontroller.
Over the years, I have worked on a variety of projects, from power supplies for mobile robots and battery packs for flying robots to rugged (camera) systems for defense applications. My interest and experience cover the entire electronics field, enabling me to efficiently translate complex technical challenges into functional solutions.
I enjoy working with small-scale businesses looking for a reliable and technically skilled partner. Whether it’s a prototype, a proof of concept or further development of an existing product, I actively collaborate and deliver solutions that truly make a difference.

Customers/Projects
At MONO(www.mono.si), LUMENKEN contributed to the development of the hardware for a high-performance router called Gateway. Designed from the ground up, Gateway delivers 10-gigabit speeds, advanced security features, and complete transparency—all powered by open-source software.
The router was developed in close collaboration with MONO’s hardware engineer. Working alongside software engineers, the team carefully evaluated and implemented the best possible solution to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
The design features two 10Gbps SFP+ cages, three RJ-45 Gigabit Ethernet ports, DDR4 memory with ECC support, USB 3.1, USB Power Delivery (PD), two M.2 Key-E slots, and an NXP Layerscape Quad-Core processor.
For a client, LUMENKEN was working on IoT devices used to monitor, for example, campsites and holiday cabins. Several modules have been developed with multiple input and output channels, as well as 4G connectivity. For these modules, I was primarily responsible for the hardware development, but also contributed to the software integration.
LUMENKEN has also contributed to subcomponents for robotics, ranging from power supplies to full system integration. This was done in close collaboration with the mechanical engineering department to ensure seamless integration into both existing and new setups.
